GRADUATE ACTS 2024

Today, 24 designers are staging and performing their final projects. After seven semesters at the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW, they present their projects and their design visions in a joint performance. This is the outcome of an intensive period of study, debate, and critical engagement, and sets the start for their future.

Doing Fashion is a culture. We understand fashion design as an expanded cultural practice. For many years, we are invested in a critical and holistic approach to the body, to material and performativity. As we are facing ongoing uncertain times in our daily lives, which demand us to reflect, the nagging question, what fashion means and stands for today, seems more than relevant now.
