My mantra which originates from my childhood: Alles ist gut, solange du wild bist, translates to English as ‚Everything is fine, as long as you‘re wild.‘ A synonym for never letting yourself be restricted by social norms and staying wild in the truest sense of the word.
My thesis concept deals with my personal development from childhood to adulthood. The main inspiration and impulse for my project is a silk painting that I did in elementary school and a necklace with felt beads from my kindergarten days. This necklace, whose individual beads symbolize stages in my personal development, serves as my personal key visual. Growing up in a small town in Eastern Switzerland, I felt confronted with a traditional view of women and the female body. I discovered the medium of fashion to be able to stand up for myself and express myself. At that time, strong women in my surroundings were great role models. These women played pivotal roles in my life, helping me reach where I am today. I am forever grateful to these women and dedicate this project to them.
