A multilayer multiverse in harmonizing contradiction

My work consists of the interconnection between everything and everyone, leading to the term of kinship. Creating a multileveled situation where the audience can decide what correlates with each other rather than being told or overwhelmed with too obvious visual images. I have come to this by starting my research on different topics I was interested in and then finding connections between them. Jumping from living out ontologies before the self-made world, to cyborgs along different perspectives on how living together as humans works. And in some strange way combining all made sense. Implementing the idea behind kinship into the material use of the project, how the most opposite type of matter can support each other or even generate more strength, like the cyborg. Traditionally understood as a fusion of organic life and mechanical elements, I prefer to use its literal composition as a metaphor for opposing forces on all levels, related to fashion or not. As leading opposing forces, I play with the words; organic/biotic and inorganic/abiotic. They are implanted in my practical work in a very subtle way. Where one must watch closely to see the different matters working together. It stretches from many carefully hand-crafted details, to material choices like wood and metal such as the use of an artificial fabric manipulation chemical, to silhouettes tight and oversized as in restricting the body of its natural movement and shapes such as animal like body parts around the human body creating new movement that doesn’t naturally make sense to the human eye as we know it but fits the circumstances of the situations. To design a group of different looks with the goal to create an unusual situation that isn’t unusual considering the clothing one is wearing, it’s just not what is expected.
