I paid off all my sins, they keep charging me, I am still crying
My thesis collection is a cry for change. I question our society rooted in Christianity, socio-economical norms as well as the separation of humanity and nature. While beeing limited under capitalism and after my personal deflect from Religion, I now seek to understand myself and my surrounding. Tired, overwhelmed and angry.

I merge harsh reality with fiction, offering a tangible chance of comprehension. I draw a parellel between fictional worlds and the Book of Revelation, as they both portray an abstracted reality. Spaces created solely by human hand often serve as an escape, dehumanization or abuse. Yet they offer the freedom I seek, so I remain captivated in this conundrum.

None of the seven looks in my collection can stand on their own. Each holds personal and symbolic meaning, forming present and past. In biblical contexts, seven stands for perfection, which lead me to create seven looks of my own. With this collection I try to represent all creation. I blend human and animalistic traits, or make literal translations of history by the portrayal of crusaders.

Faith has shifted. Capitalism has become the authority replacing Christianity and performing under it offers the security and happiness we long for. I want to tear open this fundament, while still cherish the freedom of choice found in it.
