Not A Designer

In my opinion, we don't need new clothes.

_
Based on this fundamental belief, I consider preexisting garments to be my resource.

I assemble looks out of secondhand clothing. I pay particular attention to color combinations and interesting materials. My approach does not require cutting techniques or manufacturing procedures. I let myself be guided by the existing pieces. The styling process is central.

_
Shelves, slatted frames and other store fixtures serve as hanging racks. I start simply by putting outfits together in thrift stores. Later, I decided to buy the pieces to further explore them. How do I stage them? On people? In a room? What else can happen with the looks? It is a formal exploration of found clothing as a creative medium.

_
To present the selected looks, I chose an object, found in an abandoned house. A place that, like the clothes, bears the marks of its own history. Both the garments and the house tell stories of use, absence, and persistence.
