attention panorama
The collection looks at the display of desire in commercial spaces as it shifts toward the production of attention as a commodity. I examine the shop window as an interrogation, a judicial metaphor: the passerby becomes defendant, lawyer, judge and convict. It is important to embody all of these roles, to express their desires and cross-examine them. The display is temporary, it is a constructed space for testing.

Each look engages with a different logic known to commercial culture and poses a provocation of what if? They are a historical investigation into the codes that shaped our consumer behaviour for over 100 years filtered through an intentionally absurd lense. While the classic shop window might seem anachronistic, it helps understanding the contemporary form of digital stimulation. Meaning is secondary to affect and absuridtiy becomes method.
